Description

Vaalwater is situated on the Vaalwater Road, between Uniondale and the Baviaanskloof, a mere 2km from the main Baviaanskloof access road. Vaalwater is the last stop before entering or after leaving the Baviaanskloof and is well-located as a base for day trips into the Kloof. The camp sites facilities lend themselves exceptionally well to gatherings for large groups. Guests are free to walk the various trails along the river courses, to bird watch, or to go on guided game viewing drives making Vaalwater more than just an overnight stop. The game to be seen includes springbuck, blesbuck, kudu, duiker, Zebra and klipspringer. Tortoises, baboons and blue apes are also to be seen as well as many other smaller creatures.

Facilities

The facilities lend themselves exceptionally well to large groups.

The camp has numerous large old pear trees offering ample shade.

Vaalwater Bush camp offers accommodation on a number of large campsites.

The camp boasts a newly constructed modern ablution block with lots of hot water on tap.

Each camping site has electricity.

The quiet peaceful surroundings make for exceptional evenings around the campfire. The sound of the Karoo nightlife will entertain you whilst the clear skies offer breathtaking views of the stars.
