Description: Steenbokkie Private Nature Reserve is a 7 500ha family run working, game and hospitality farm where we offer comfortable, affordable accommodation for the overnight traveller as well as an unforgettable farm experience to the family of the holidaymaker.
Breathtaking stargazing at night, surrounded by the wide open spaces of the Karoo, with the Nuweveld Mountains in the distance Steenbokkie offers a unique country retreat.
Not only do we have a shop at our friendly Reception to cater for basic needs like ice, cool drinks and Karoo Chops but also some beautiful gifts, treats and succulents from our nursery. Consider yourself lucky if there are rusks or sourdough bread available.
Kick out your shoes, make yourself at home and enjoy Karoo hospitality at its best. Roanda Caarstens, your host, will welcome you at Reception with her warm, welcoming personality.

The beautiful campsite at Steenbokkie Private Nature Reserve is an oasis with lush, green lawns under the umbrella of old, shaded trees to provide a relaxing atmosphere to our valued guests. Stands are not formally marked off, so campers are welcome to set up where most pleases them. Sufficient electricity and light stands, as well as braai drums for 20 caravans or tents are available.
Their recently renovated bathrooms are private, with warm water, and are in pristine and clean condition.
They offer you the use of Die Kamp Kombuis. This is a communal kitchen for our campers, equipped with basic kitchen facilities for those who need them.
Rates: From R350.00 per person. Group bookings can be negotiated.
