Andriesvale is a small, remote village in the Northern Cape, situated approximately 15 kilometers from the nearby town of Askham and a 180 kilometers from Upingto, the capital of the Green Kalahari. Located near the Botswana and Namibia borders, the region is highly culturally significant and is traditionally home to the Khoi and San.
Andriesvale sits on the edge of the arid Kalahari region, characterized by striking red sand dunes, sparse vegetation, and a stark semi-desert landscapes. Like much of the Northern Cape, the area experiences high, hot summer temperatures that frequently top 35°C, and colder winter nights typical of desert environment.
