Description: Prior Grange Guest Farm is a historical working farm 8 km outside Springfontein in the southern Free State. Comfortable accommodation is offered in 6 delightful self-catering cottages on this picturesque Karoo farm. The Prior Grange farm has been in the family since 1854, and is a working Merino sheep farm.
The self-catering cottages are situated in the garden. Each cottage comprises a kitchen, lounge and dining area, and is equipped with a fridge, a microwave and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Two of the cottages have ovens and stoves. Prior Grange has its own country cricket field where matches are often played during the summer months. The farm also has its own apple orchards, and apples are for sale in season. Fresh apple juice or cider is also available.
Enjoy the swimming pool on hot summer days, walk the farm trails, experience great birding, or visit the Anglo Boer War restored blockhouse on the farm. Guided tours of the blockhouse and Anglo Boer War sites in Springfontein can also be arranged.
