Description:

The Berry Guest Farm is a Small family run guest farm just outside of Swellendam. The Berry Guest Farm is a working berry farm with the facilities to stay over and do fun activities like Zipline, tractor trips, berry maze, enchanted forest walks, swimming and much more. They focus on creating fun times and making memories and if one day isn’t enough as a day visitor you are welcome to book one of their six self catering cottages or campsites. Feel free to come pick your own berries in harvest season and enjoy a fun summers day. The farm is pet friendly so you are welcome to bring your best friends with.

Facilities:

There is 6 cottages that are fully equipped for self-catering. Prices include vat.  They supply duvets, pillows and towels, crockery, kitchen equipment and utensils.  There is a small stove, fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster in each kitchen. Each cottage has an inside fireplace and an outside braai. All taps on the farm use spring water from a spring on the farm. We are pet friendly, limited to small animals.

Blackberry cottage 1 is a 4 sleeper cottage. It has an open kitchen and dining area, 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds. There is one bathroom with a shower. This cottage is close to the jungle gym and swimming pool area. Prices start at R850 per night for 2 people sharing

Blackberry cottage 2 is a 4 sleeper cottage. It has an open kitchen and dining area, 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds. There is one bathroom with a shower. Youngberry cottage is a 6 sleeper cottage. It has an open kitchen and dining area, 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a double bed and bunk bed. There are 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath. This cottage is close to the jungle gym and swimming pool area. Youngberry cottage has a beautiful view of the mountains. Prices start at R1300 per night for 4 people sharing

Strawberry cottage is an 8 sleeper cottage. It has a kitchen and dining area as well as a lounge area. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 3 pairs of bunk beds. There are 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath. This cottage is close to the swimming pool area and is set separately from the other cottages. Prices start at R1400 per night for 4 people sharing

Raspberry cottage is a 6 sleeper cottage. It has an open kitchen and dining area, 3 bedrooms, 2 downstairs, one with a double bed and one with bunk bed, and another upstairs with a bunkbed of which the bottom bed is a double bed. There are 2 bathrooms, one large and one small, both of which has a toilet and shower. This cottage is set close to the berry fields and stands alone. Raspberry cottage has a beautiful view of the mountains, especially from the top floor outside deck. Prices start at R1400 per night for 4 people sharing

Bird’s Nest cottage is a 4 sleeper cottage. It has an open kitchen and dining area, open plan top floor with 2 sleep areas, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds. There is a separate toilet and shower area. This cottage is set on its own hidden around the corner of the dam. Bird’s nest cottage has a beautiful view of the mountains. Prices start at R900 per night for 2 people sharing

The Berry Guest Farm also has a camp-site, with grass and shade sites, ablution facilities, power points and braai grids. Prices are R175.00 per person sharing.

The owner and his daughter went out of their way to make us feel welcome and took a real interest in us, with a trip to the “Enchanted Forest” on a motorcycle for one of our family members.
