Grunau

Description

Grünau is a small settlement in the Karas region in the south of Namibia.  Approximately 140km’s north of Noordoewer, Grünau is tiny, without any shops and limited forms of infrastructure.  A beautiful setting of accommodation options and wide open spaces, Grünau is a perfect stop over whilst touring this area and an ideal base for visiting the Fish River Canyon.

The village is located at the side of the main rail track through the country and is about 140km’s from the Namibia / South Africa border at Noordoewer. A perfect stop over from Cape Town, 850km, and a mere 100km from the world renowned Fish River Canyon.
